Our Network

A Tier-1 network under your project

A server is only as good as the network that connects it. Our Miami rack runs on a Tier-1 network: the highest category on the Internet, networks so large they reach any destination in the world through peering without paying transit to anyone. Fewer intermediaries, fewer hops, more speed for your users.

Miami, an interconnection hub between North America, Latin America and Europe
The Hub of the Americas

Miami: the bridge between three continents

South Florida concentrates one of the largest volumes of Internet traffic in the world. It's the point where most Latin American networks interconnect with each other and reach the submarine cables that cross the Caribbean and the Atlantic. Being physically here is what gives us our biggest latency advantage.

  • One of the most connected cities in the world

  • Key interconnection point for Latin American networks

  • Landing point for submarine cables to LATAM

  • Low latency to Latin America and Europe

Guaranteed Performance

Low latency, high delivery

These are the performance targets (monthly average) of the Tier-1 transit network our datacenter connects to, backed by a service level agreement (SLA).

≤ 35 ms

Within Europe

Average latency between network points in Europe.

≤ 85 ms

New York – London

Performance targets (monthly average) defined by the Tier-1 transit network's SLA. Actual times vary depending on the visitor's origin and their own Internet provider.

What Our Network Includes

Enterprise-grade connectivity

Tier-1 IP Transit

Internet access through a Tier-1 network, with free peering to the entire global routing table.

Ports up to 400G

1G, 10G, 100G and up to 400 GbE interfaces available at the datacenter, depending on your project's needs.

DDoS Mitigation

Protection against denial-of-service attacks, with carrier-scale mitigation on the partner network.

Unlimited Transfer

Unmetered links on our infrastructure plans, so you can grow without surprises.

IPv4 and IPv6

Native IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, with additional blocks available on request for your services.

24/7 NOC Monitoring

Network monitoring every day of the year and close support over WhatsApp.

Partner Network

Global reach when you need it

Beyond our core in Miami, we work with top-tier partner datacenters whose combined network reaches global scale:

Up to 100 Tbps

Aggregate network capacity across the partner infrastructure.

Up to 1.3 Tbps

Proven carrier-scale anti-DDoS mitigation on the partner network.

44 PoPs

Redundant points of presence across four continents.

+40

Interconnected transit and broadband providers.

These figures correspond to the group of top-tier partner datacenters we work with; not all apply identically to every facility. See the locations on our Datacenter page.

Network Coverage

The reach of our network

From our Miami hub we reach Latin America and Europe with low latency, and add reach in Asia-Pacific through our partners. Each point is a connected region.

The location of each service is assigned based on its configuration: our core is in Miami (Cogent datacenter, Boca Raton) and we complement it with top-tier partner datacenters in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. See where your data lives on our Datacenter page →

Have a

Question?

What is a Tier-1 network?

It's the highest category of Internet network: networks so large they reach any destination in the world through peering without paying transit to anyone. Connecting our datacenter to a Tier-1 network means fewer intermediaries between your server and your users, and therefore more speed and stability.

Why does Miami improve latency to Latin America?

Because South Florida is the point where most Latin American networks interconnect and where the submarine cables that cross the Caribbean land. Being physically there means your traffic enters those routes on the first hop, instead of going around through another region of the United States.

What latency will I get from my country?

The network guarantees an average of ≤ 45 ms within North America and ≤ 35 ms within Europe. The actual time to your country also depends on your local Internet provider. If you want a specific figure, write to us and we'll run a latency test to your location.

Are you protected against DDoS attacks?

Yes. We have denial-of-service (DDoS) attack mitigation, with carrier-scale capacity on our partner network. The goal is to keep your service online even under attack.

What port speeds do you offer?

The datacenter has 1G, 10G, 100G and up to 400 GbE ports. Our infrastructure plans include 1 Gbps links, upgradeable up to 10 Gbps, with unlimited transfer. For larger needs, we provide a custom quote.

Is data transfer unlimited?

On our infrastructure plans (VPS, dedicated servers and colocation) the link is unmetered. We confirm the exact terms of each plan before you order.
